My main passion in life is food and its relationship to our health. As a consequence of the food industry and our fast-paced modern lives, there has been a disconnection from natural foods resulting in our health suffering. I am a strong believer that just because food is healthy doesn’t mean it has to be boring. In fact I believe that once you start to look at food in a different light, you open up to a whole new range of foods, flavours and experiences that will make you feel great.
I will always try my hardest to find recipes that will inspire you, no matter what your preferences, dietary requirements and health goals. My job is to help you understand why our food matters, what a profound effect it can have on your health, but also to give you the tools to make the changes happen.
Anna has always had a passion for good food, but it was only after experiencing the powerful health benefits of nutritional therapy herself that she decided to embark on a three year journey to train as a nutritional therapist. Her extensive training was completed at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), a leading
establishment in the field of nutrition education and was a life-changing experience. Anna also has an honours degree in Psychology. She still regularly attends conferences as part of her continued professional development, to keep up to date with the latest research so that she can give others the support and knowledge they need to achieve their own health goals.
Anna is a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) that is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists and is also a registered practitioner with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) founded and supported by the Department of Health to regulate complementary healthcare practitioners. As such, she is bound by a strict code of ethics.
Avocado Nutrition is a Pru Health provider and a Nutri People approved practitioner clinic.
