Prior to your consultation you will be asked to fill out a Nutritional therapy questionnaire, which gives us some background understanding of your case in regards to your health, diet and lifestyle. This needs to be completed and returned before your consultation for initial analysis, allowing you to get the most out of your consultation. If you have any previous test results (e.g. GP blood tests) you can also send these for analysis from a nutritional perspective.
The initial consultation lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and costs £95. All initial consultations are face to face. During this time we will discuss in confidence the health issues you wish to address, your family and medical history, your diet and any other aspects of your lifestyle that may be impacting on your health. We may also do some in-clinic testing if appropriate.
Having taken a detailed case history, we will identify some underlying contributing factors and clearly explain how these may be impacting on your health. Together we will negotiate a practical and achievable nutritional programme for you to follow. This will include a dietary plan, supplements (where necessary) and lifestyle changes to start to correct any underlying nutritional imbalances.
Functional laboratory tests may also be arranged to establish specific biochemical imbalances. The cost of supplements and tests vary and these can be discussed according to your needs. Changing your diet isn’t always easy but our aim is to keep you motivated by giving you a variety of great recipes, meal suggestions and shopping lists, so that your new diet will really work for you.
Follow-up consultations are charged at a pro-rata rate of £90 per hour (e.g. £60 for 40 mins) and are available either face to face or by telephone, whichever is easier for you. Nutritional therapy works on the underlying imbalances and it can take time for your body to respond and come back into balance. As such, we recommend coming back for your follow-up consultation around 4 – 6 weeks after your initial one, so that we can monitor your progress and develop your programme appropriately.
We are available in between consultations to answer questions and provide additional support as needed and encourage you to stay in touch to let us know how you are getting on.
